چکیده

We compare predictions for the spin–independent contribution to the neutralino–proton scattering cross section σχp and for the anomalous magnetic dipole moment of the muon, aμ = (gμ − 2)/2, in models with gravity–mediated supersymmetry breaking. We nearly always find a positive correlation between these two measurables, i.e. scenarios with larger aμ also tend to have larger σχp, but the detailed prediction differs greatly between models. In particular, we find that for the popular mSUGRA scenario with universal soft breaking masses at the scale of Grand Unification, measurements of aμ currently seem more promising. On the other hand, if scalar soft breaking masses at the GUT scale receive sizable contributions from SO(10) D–terms, one often finds scenarios with large σχp but aμ below the currently foreseen sensitivity. A string–inspired model with non–universal scalar spectrum at the GUT scale falls between these two cases.

Implications of Muon anomalous magnetic moment for Direct detection of Neutralino Dark Matter

We investigate the implications of the recent measurement of muon anomalous magnetic moment for the direct detection of neutralino dark matter in the three different SUSY models: mSUGRA, a model with non-universal Higgs mass, and an SO(10) GUT model. We consider two extreme scenario for ∆aμ bound, i.e. 27 × 10 < ∆aμ < 59 × 10 (1σ bound) and 0 < ∆aμ < 11 × 10 (2σ below). In mSUGRA model, the cou...

Neutralino Dark Matter in the NMSSM

We analyze the direct detection of neutralino dark matter in the framework of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Taking into account all the available constraints from LEPII and Tevatron, including bounds from the muon anomalous magnetic moment and flavor constraint as b → sγ, we compute the neutralino-nucleon cross section and compare the results with the sensitivity of dark ma...

The Naturalness, Dark Matter and Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment in the Supersymmetric Standard Models with a Pseudo-Dirac Gluino

We study the naturalness, dark matter, and muon anomalous magnetic moment in the Supersymmetric Standard Models (SSMs) with a pseudo-Dirac gluino (PDGSSMs) from hybrid F− and D−term supersymmetry (SUSY) breakings. To obtain the observed dark matter relic density and explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment, we find that the low energy fine-tuning measures are larger than about 200 due to stro...

Implications of new CMB data for neutralino dark matter

The combination of new cosmic microwave background data with cosmo-logical priors has determined the physical cold dark matter (cdm) density to be Ω cdm h 2 = 0.13 ± 0.01. We find the corresponding regions of parameters in the minimal supergravity model for which the lightest neutralino is the cdm particle. We then compare with the muon anomalous magnetic moment (a µ) measurement, the mass of t...

Effects of CP violation on Event Rates in the Direct Detection of Dark Matter

A full analytic analysis of the effects of CP violating phases on the event rates in the direct detection of dark matter in the scattering of neutralinos from nuclear targets is given. The analysis includes CP violating phases in softly broken supersymmetry in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) when generational mixings are ignored. A numerical analysis shows that...
